UAM wins esports national championship

MONTICELLO -- The University of Arkansas at Monticello Esports League of Legends squad completed a season of redemption by winning the national championship. Just one year after falling short in the National Association of Collegiate Esports Varsity Plus Divisional Championship match, the team fought its way back to the finals. On April 20, they secured the title, turning last season's heartbreak into this year's triumph. The victory marks a major milestone for the program and capped off a determined run through the playoffs. Players and coaches alike pointed to the lessons learned from the previous loss as fuel for their championship drive. The team's discipline and teamwork were on full display during the final match, as they executed their strategy against a tough opponent. The win brings the trophy back to Monticello and solidifies UAM's place among the top collegiate esports programs in the nation.
