Microsoft has rolled out support for two dozen additional games on the ASUS ROG Ally and Ally X handheld devices. The update brings the total number of titles with official default performance profiles to a larger library, aiming to improve the out-of-box experience for players using the portable hardware.
The new profiles are designed to automatically configure graphics settings, resolution, and power targets for each specific game. This means users no longer have to manually tweak options to find the right balance between battery life and visual fidelity. According to the announcement, the profiles target a stable 30 frames per second or higher, depending on the title.
While Microsoft did not release a full list of every new game in the initial notice, the company confirmed that the additions span several genres, including recent AAA releases and popular indie titles. The update applies to both the original ASUS ROG Ally and the newer, higher-capacity Ally X model.
This move is part of a broader push by Xbox to make handheld PC gaming more seamless. By offloading the optimization work to preset profiles, the company hopes to reduce the friction that often comes with running Windows-based games on portable devices. The profiles are delivered through the Xbox app and the Windows operating system updates, so they should appear automatically for most users.
